Our first line of attack is often prevention. We believe that it is of utmost importance to reduce our use of resources and to, parallelly, increase our levels of water and energy efficiency throughout each step of the manufacturing process. This ensures that the volume we have to reuse and recycle, which are the subsequent steps of the 3R rule, will be reduced from the outset. Numerous concrete measures have, already, been integrated into our operation to ensure we minimize the use of raw materials, other resources, and energy. These include inventory management, improving our right first time percentage as well as efforts to directly reduce the consumption of water and energy. In adherence to our ISO 14000 certification, we consistently challenge ourselves to achieve, review and fine-tune the consumption goals that we’ve established for each of Ocean Lanka’s production processes.
